Responsibilities The Senior Battle Space Management Analyst performs technical tasking for the (OUSD(R&E) Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Mission Prototype (MP) Directorate working within the metropolitan Washington, DC area. Overview: Apply Battlespace management experience to prototyping, experimentations, operational field demonstrations, project management and integration, financial management, and military utility assessments Project Management, prototyping or experiment experience applied to government Air, Space, Naval, Ground Systems or end to end battlespace multiple technical domains Collaboration with the following organizations is an integral part of this opportunity; Combatant Commands, Liaison Officers (LNOs); DoD Services Support to include Science and Technology (S&T) Executives and Service Labs; the Joint Staff J7 & J8, & other defense agencies. Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Battlespace Awareness Subject Matter Expert.
• Advise team on strategy, policy and implementation as it applies to JWC Battlespace Awareness
• Provide engineering/analytical support to produce objective insights and analytic justification to inform future technology and capability investment decisions within the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE) process.
• Provide Battlespace Awareness Subject Matter Expertise to Mission Engineering studies; identify capability gaps, candidate technologies to fill those gaps, an measures of effectiveness/measures of performance to assess those technologies.
• Communication systems and logistics & National System and ISR platform tasking focus areas applied to evaluation of proposed solution and integration into experiments and demonstrations
• Autonomy & Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and limitations applied to evaluation of proposed solution and integration into experiments and demonstrations • Mission Data Integration capabilities and limitation areas applied to evaluation of proposed solution and integration into experiments and demonstrations
• Cyber & supply chain vulnerability and threats capabilities and limitations applied to evaluation of proposed solution and integration into experiments and demonstrations Qualifications Required Qualifications • ISR, Space, National Systems experience
• Master's Degree in relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years+ relevant experience
• US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Qualifications • Experience developing the Joint Warfighting Concept for Battlespace Awareness
• Technological expertise in more than key enabling technologies for future Battlespace Awareness concept development
• Experience leading teams in the planning and execution of complex mission and system analysis efforts.
• Experience interfacing with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analysis needs and analytic results.
• Experience developing system solutions to complex and challenging DoD problems.
• Experience planning and executing complex mission and systems analysis efforts.
• Experience conducting systems engineering tasks including Technology Analysis and Assessment, System Definition, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture development and architecture products, and Logistics support of Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
• Expert in assessing threat kill chains operations and identifying exploitable vulnerabilities, analyzing mission threads and blue force system kill chains to identify capability gaps and solutions, developing system models, constructing and executing simulation and analysis plans, conducting trade studies and sensitivity analysis, interpreting and synthesizing results and translating them into concise and comprehensive artifacts for documenting and communicating to multiple audiences
• Master's Degree in engineering
• Weapon's school Graduate / TPS Test Pilot School • Experience operating within a Pentagon/OSD/Service Staff/Joint Staff environment
• Understanding or experience working with OUSD R&E • Experience with using and creating mission threads to support study objectives
• Project Management experience
• Communication systems and logistics experience
• National Systems, Communications systems and ISR platform tasking experience • Autonomy requirements or application experience • Artificial Intelligence (AI) relevant knowledge • Mission Data Integration knowledge
• All Domain Effects knowledge & experience • Contested Logistics knowledge & experience
