Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for completing commercial valuations on all major property types. SitusAMCs appraisers get the opportunity to work on institutional properties located all across the U.S. In addition, this position would also include assisting with our national clients, which include some of the largest and most prominent financial institutions, pension funds and insurance companies in the U.S., and involves portfolio work. AVPs will work closely with VPs in completing these processes. This role will have direct reports.
Essential Job Functions:
The role for this professional will be involved with performing valuations
Efficiently perform valuations with a future career path to lead a team ofvaluation professionals by providing guidance and quality control
Manage workflow and direct reports to produce on time deliveries
Help execute portfolio valuations and large consulting engagements through implementation of organizational and technical skills
Communication/coordinate with market participants, clients, and co-workers
Research property and market information
Inspect properties
Analyze subject and comparable data
Develop appraisal and consulting reports and other deliverables
Resolve non-compliant issues through verbal and written communication with client or other involved parties
Work independently on projects and also collaborate face to face as a team player
Supervise direct reports
Other activities as may be assigned by your manager
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Bachelors degree or above - Preferred fields of study include Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or equivalent level of education and experience
5+ years of commercial appraisal experience strongly preferred
Certified General Real Property Appraiser License is a plus
MAI designation is desirable or if you are a candidate for MAI designation
Strong valuation expertise
MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word, Argus
Ability to supervise employees
Special Requirements:
- The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment
The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $110,000. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. All full-time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including 401K, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
