Job Description

Ultrasound Tech (OB, AB, Small Parts) sought by ARC Healthcare in Little Rock, AR.

In these roles candidates must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, obtain ultrasound and echo images of the areas of concern and presents and describes the image to the providers to facilitate care, be responsible for and to deliver the best care to our providers and patients. Shift: AM

Pay: $57.00 hr.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets and assists patients
  • Performs general ultrasound.
  • Assists radiologist with ultrasound procedures.
  • Provides verbal reports to radiologist and other providers.
  • Maintains proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)-if required
  • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Organizes workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with organizational standards
  • Performs all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Adheres to and takes any/all scheduled breaks
  • Completes all required training
  • Conforms with and supports quality assurance and improvement processes
  • Dedicated to building rapport with team members, internal and external customers, and management team by demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and a continuous positive image

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Program or equivalent required.
  • Meets all state requirements required to be a General Ultrasound Technician
  • Must be RDMS registered.
  • Must be trained in Echo/Stress Echo.
  • Must be BLS certified.
  • 1+ years clinical experience in a health care delivery system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required
  • Reading, reasoning skills, problem-solving, oral communication, positive customer contact
  • Bending, crouching, handling (holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand or hands), prolonged periods of standing
  • Comply with rapid onboarding, background check, paperwork and fit testing protocols
  • Comfortable working with PPE
