Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and influential leader to join our growing team as Operations Manager. This role will report directly to the President and will manage a staff of warehouse and operations employees. A successful candidate will have high degree of motivation, be solution-oriented, diligent, accountable, with desire to learn, and passion in being a valued contributor to a growing company. Prior leadership experience in developing, training, and evaluating staff to drive performance and efficiencies will be essential.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the day-to-day operations of the facility including, but not limited to becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all processes in the warehouse. Warehouse processes include shipping, receiving, product repack, inventory, procurement, quality control, food safety, dispatching, etc.
• Accountable for allocating resources (people, money, time, etc.) to accomplish company goals within the established financial plan.
• Create a highly engaged team environment which drives execution, innovation, productivity, and future leaders.
• Train and develop warehouse staff to meet company guidelines and expectations and help drive performance.
• Partner with HR to attract, recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high performing team.
• Identify ways to increase revenue, decrease costs, and enhance efficiencies.
• Create, maintain, and train on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for different functionalities of warehouse operations.
• Develop and provide timely, accurate, and complete reporting on the operating condition of the company.
• Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for employees, customers, and vendors.
• Collaborate with HR, Sales, Procurement, Accounting, and Marketing departments to ensure goal alignment.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in Operations leadership roles.
• High growth mindset and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Ability to be flexible and resilient while remaining positive to shifting business needs.
• Proven track record of driving and achieving operational excellence and execution of goals.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust tone/communication style according to the audience.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills using logic and identifying alternative solutions to operational issues.
• Knowledge of business process and functions (accounting, HR, procurement, operations etc.).
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines or productivity goals.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field(s).
• Experience in Perishable Distribution, Agriculture, or Manufacturing/Warehouse industries is highly preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
