CNC Setup Machinist – Mount Systems

Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM

Base Rate $24-$27 (DOE) + $2.00/hour Shift Differential + $1,000 Signing Bonus

What You’ll Be Doing:

Performs complex setup operations for all departmental equipment. Operates and adjusts all departmental equipment.

  • Understands, supports, and builds according to established business processes.
  • Adjusts, setup, and work off-sets on HAAS, Mori, and Index C200’s.
  • Performs equipment setup and adjustments for less skilled departmental staff.
  • Operates departmental equipment when machines are not available for set up.
  • Assists Lead Person in trouble-shooting problems with programs, tooling, fixtures and out-of-print parts.
  • Checks critical dimensions of parts using QC gauges and other measuring instruments. Uses blueprint reading skills to check for correct dimensions.
  • Performs First Article Inspections for departmental equipment when Lead person is not available.
  • Responsible for using SPC software to collect data and control process parameters.
  • Assists Lead Person with training.
  • Assists ME group with solving problems.
  • Enters completions in software system using PC and moves parts to next operation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum 6 years’ experience with machining and manufacturing or formal apprenticeship and 2 years of machining and manufacturing experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
  • Able to read, understand and follow work instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate Blueprint Reading required.
  • Knowledge of Win SPC, Documentum, KACE, and Tooling Services required.
  • CNC Operation class or commensurate on the job training required.
  • GDT knowledge required.
  • CNC programming knowledge.
  • Proficiency in with Windows Office and use of Personal Computer required.

Work Environment:

Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; Good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance.
