Operational Excellence Manager
Blinderman Construction is seeking Operational Excellence Manager to assist in developing processes and procedures that will lead our company into the next phase. Our Operational Excellence manager will be an expert in organizational change and engaging all company employees and leaders. They will be a champion of tools, technology, and process improvement initiatives which create the greatest value for the company.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Guide company through “right- org” of organization- federal and regional divisions- creating expertise
- Identify risks and develop risk mitigation tactics surrounding change management
- Engage continuous improvement programs like Six Sigma across various functions to create and enhance value
- Analyze the Company’s goal and initiatives, ensuring alignment with long term business strategies and success; recording success and breakdown of initiatives
- Partner with functional team participants to identify work practices in need of improvement
- Review, revise, and continuously refine current company and departmental Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring that all are up to date and efficient
- Evaluate and manage departmental data, metrics, KPIs and work processes to facilitate interdepartmental coordination and efficiency
- Assess operational processes and procedures and implement initiatives that reduce risk
- Map work processes to identify wasteful or unnecessary company work practices
- Recommend to upper management beneficial changes to company work processes and procedures
- Conduct and present cost/ benefit analysis to articulate investment, benefits and pay back on investment
- Lead process improvement initiatives: follow up with team participants to ensure documentation is completed and process improvements are successfully implemented and maintained
- Participate and lead employee training of procedures and operational initiatives
- Coordinate and support the integration of virtual building and BIM
- Maintain and manage SOPs, job aides, and protocols within Company Interweb
- Evaluate new software and technology against current processes and implement them to support company goals
- Analyze the Company’s goal and initiatives, ensuring alignment with long term business strategies and success; recording success and breakdown of initiatives
What You Offer
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similar field desired
- 5 years of relevant experience in process improvement or quality management; familiarity with construction industry or manufacturing practices is preferred
- Certificate in Change Management or Organizational Change from an accredited institution highly advantageous
- Experience or training with Lean thinking, Design Thinking, or Agile methodologies
- Ability to view problems holistically and with curiosity
- Expertise with IT and software tools to support process improvement including Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Sharepoint
- Procore and understanding of project management software critical, Procore preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to train others
- Strong work ethic, creative thinking, and analytical thinking
- Experience leading by influence and demonstrated success in being a driver of change in an organization
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and the able to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to plan for, create and oversee content for all corporate communications

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Frequent sitting, some standing and walking throughout shift
