Sales Representative at Atlantic.Net

The successful candidate needs to be highly motivated to join a company that encourages out of the box ideas and that respects the role that a salesperson plays in the growth of every organization. In the Sales Representative role, you will be asked to take care of the vital customer base that sustains Atlantic.Net’s financial stability. You will also be required to grow the customer base to the benefit of both Atlantic.Net and yourself.

We are looking for positive, energetic people who choose success. Technical knowledge is not required but is a plus. We are primarily looking for people who have a positive, can-do attitude that like to delight customers with exceptional service before and after the sale. Being a quick learner is a plus, as well.

Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

  • Have a deep understanding of Atlantic.Net feature set and market them to fit the customers’ needs
  • Serve our customers by selling products that meet client needs.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations to meet client needs
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints by notifying support team and ensuring client communication is occurring.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:

  • 2 or more years as a successful sales executive or the drive to learn from the ground up with a company who values the sales process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with prospects and customers through multiple mediums, such as phone or email while properly explaining concepts and product sets.
  • Comfort with making cold calls to prospective clients in order to drive new business opportunities.
  • Ability to understand a customer’s requirements and create proposals on an individual case basis.
  • Positive, team-oriented, can-do attitude with strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Proficient in using all Microsoft Office Suite products to build presentations and diagrams for customer and staff use.
  • Sales Force experience a plus.
