Laboratory Operator

Position Mission:

Be responsible for quality control testing and laboratory equipment maintenance.

Position Required Skills and Responsibilities:

• Able to use large liquid cool metal cutting machines;
• Able to use electric rotating sander/polisher;
• Able to clean and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment in a timely manner;
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds;
• Must be willing to push water tank outside (year round) to clean with pressure washer;
• Must be willing to get dirty from oil, coolant, water;
• Able to use a microscope for inspection of samples;
• Able to Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word);
• Able to create technical reports for sharing findings internally with peers;
• Maintain proper organizational and cleanliness practices in the quality laboratory;
• Maintain sample archive system;

Minimum Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or higher

Experience Required:

At least 2 years of experience in a quality inspection role or similar.
