Job Description:
The professional development generalist uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of Professional Development to improve the practice of the healthcare team. The professional development generalist is responsible for promoting lifelong learning of the healthcare team through orientation/onboarding, competency management, education, professional role development, research/EBP/QI, and collaborative partnerships.
Qualifications/Education/Licensure:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, or equivalent healthcare related bachelor's degree. Requires at least two years' experience in healthcare. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Prefer candidates to have previous education/teaching experience. Preferred certification in Healthcare Continuing Professional Development (CHCP)/Board Certified in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC). Licensed as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a compact state licensure or equivalent as approved by manager.
