Supervisory Responsibilities
The RGM supervises a team of Assistant Unit Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Team Members. Depending on the sales volume and the hours your restaurant is open, your team may be as small as 10 people or as big as 40 or more.
Qualifications
- Record of success in restaurant or retail operations as a Restaurant General Manager or Assistant Unit Manager
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear, drive an automobile at any time of day or night, stand at a workstation, walk freely around the exterior and interior of the restaurant, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, operate equipment and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds.

- Personal appearance, hygiene, & grooming is at a high standard
Work Environment and Time Commitment
The work environment is the complete restaurant facility. The AUM routinely moves from the front of the house to the back of the house, ensuring the work environment is clean and safe for customers and employees. In the kitchen the floors may be slippery and the noise level is frequently loud. The temperature in the kitchen may exceed 85 degrees at certain times of the day and seasons of the year. The AUM is required to move in and out of the walk-in coolers and freezers with temperatures as cold as -10 degrees Fahrenheit. The AUM role requires a significant time commitment with work weeks that may exceed 50 hours per week.
