Quality Assurance Tech

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Tech in Seattle, Washington (WA). Summary: We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Tech (QAT) for a contract position. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites. QAT's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Tech's to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAT's identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results. Responsibilities include:
  • Create test plans and test cases for new features and ensure that adequate test coverage is provided
  • Quality Assurance Tech will troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and create detailed bug reports
  • Prepare precise test completion reports for management to review and approve the releases
  • Quality Assurance Tech will lead medium and large projects which includes coordinating, strategizing, planning testing efforts, and communicating status

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 2-4+ years of industry experience testing software, including website applications
  • Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment
  • Work as part of a team of experienced QA engineers testing multiple software releases
  • Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, executing test cases/suites as well as analyzing results for both automation and manual
  • Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience testing scalable software and services across distributed systems
  • Experience testing web-based software and mobile apps
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, and SQL is desired, but not required
  • Experience with Selenium highly desired
