Olson Steel is a leading steel erection and fabrication company who has been servicing the construction industry for over 60 years. We are currently seeking an Assistant Detail Manager to join our team in San Leandro, CA. Detailers are responsible for modeling, producing shop drawings, erection drawings, and checking work.

**This position requires physical presence in our San Leandro office - this is not a telecommuting role.

Education

Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent, related job experience preferred.

Preferred: BA or AA degree or completion of a technical trade school in Computer Aided Drafting or related field.

Requirements/Desired Skills

3-5 years of Tekla Structures experience. Knowledge of the construction / steel industry preferred. Have knowledge of steel construction and AWS. Must be a meticulous and detail-oriented person who strives for perfection in everything they do. Good communication skills are necessary and the ability to work efficiently is a must. Have effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to read instructions and numbers and write legibly. Familiar with AutoCAD or Revit and Advance Steel is a plus. A positive attitude is necessary.
