A financial services company located in New York City is actively seeking an analytical and dedicated professional to join their staff as their new Investment Accountant. In this role, the Investment Accountant will assist in quarterly and annual investment reporting processes.

Responsibilities

The Investment Accountant will be responsible for:

• Provide annual external audit support
• Support board and other internal management analysis and reporting
• Perform financial analysis and account reconciliation functions
• Act as a liaison between the firm's insurance portfolio companies, custodians, and third-party investment managers
• Work closely with senior management to help drive the transformation of investment accounting processes and technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-7 years of prior accounting, investment reporting, and/or operations experience
• Working knowledge of investment accounting best-practices
• Ability to work with external investment reporting software
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly collaborative and motivated team player
