Solr/Search Engineer

An American multinational investment banking and financial services company is looking for a Solr/Search Engineer to join their team in Alpharetta, GA! Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs used by Search Applications
• Design, develop, and maintain Solr Indexing processes (batch and real-time)
• Search Relevancy Tuning and Optimization for Google like search experience
• Performance Optimization of Indexing and Query processes (for platform stability)
• Design and implementation of semantic search using AI/NLP (for enhanced end user experience)

Required / Desired Skills:

• Hands-on experience in Apache Solr or Apache Lucene.
• Good understanding of Solr Cloud, Zookeeper, Sharding and Replica allocation/distribution
• Experience in Lucidworks Fusion, or similar search framework, is a plus
• Hands-on experience in Core Java, Scala is a plus
• Experience in Unix/Linux Shell Script and Python is a plus
• Good understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and Hadoop ecosystem
• Experience and knowledge of ML/AI is a plus
• Excellent Communication, Presentation skills, and Collaboration/Teamwork
