Job Details

SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining integrity of Employee Benefits (EB) Analytics platform and other initiatives. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of new reporting/analytics solutions within the Employee Benefits Operating group while collaborating with the BI Team for best practices and governance. Defines, manages and drives solutions including data architecture, ETL implementations and reporting solutions. Guides internal and external BI Developers to deliver sustainable ETL and reporting solutions with optimal end user performance in a secure manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and participates in development of relational and dimensional BI data models;
• Designs and participates in development of the data integration from source to interactive reports and data visualizations;
• Develops and implements the architecture which includes data warehousing, OLAP, ETL, ODS, data integration, and report data sets;
• Develops SSAS Tabular Models, Power BI Dashboards and other appropriate data access objects for end user reporting depending on business need;
• Works with business users to understand and translate user stories/requirements into data structures, models and reports;
• Works with EB Stakeholders and EB solutions architect to define features for product backlog projects;
• Works with EB Solutions architect and stakeholders in implementing self-serve Power BI reporting updates:
• Works with EB development team in agile planning, defines backlog features and stories;
• Finds answers to business questions through hands-on exploration of data sets via SQL for dashboards, statistical analysis and data visualizations as needed to support Employee Benefits Analysts;
• Work with BI EB Developers to design and implement the reporting and analytics platform(s) to ensure that scheduled jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness and completeness of requirements;
• Works with database administrators to ensure that databases feeding the reporting platforms are tuned for optimal performance;
• Stays current with latest BI industry trends and software versions and drives architectures, tools, technologies for innovative solutions.
• Works with other IT departments to implement secure systems across the organization;
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience
10 - 15 years of experience in Data warehousing/BI reporting environment

Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Ability to work in a team and to foster teamwork
Demonstrated understanding of system integrations and database structures
Proficient in Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools and Office as well as knowledge of other BI Tools in the industry
