CHANEL is looking for a Senior Manager, Retail Technology & Innovation to join our Retail Operations team in New York. You will play a leading role in creatively identifying and implementing 'best in class' technology solutions that meet the needs of the business and the boutiques. With an in-depth knowledge of the CHANEL US retail business models (Chanel boutique, Multibrand (MBB) and Multibrand Select(MBS)) you will drive the evolution of specific boutique Apps such as Clienteling, Buy Reserve Book, Remote Selling and Runner. The role aims to provide a seamless experience for both our front of house as well as heart of house boutique teams as they utilize the boutiques apps.

What you will bring to the team:

Strategy & Operations:

  • Support the Group Director, Retail Technology & Innovation in the business delivery of new large scale BTQ technology initiatives.
  • Own the business launch of new mid-size BTQ Technology initiatives (Apps, Systems - Both local and global)
    • Project management from planning to launch. This includes providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and successes
    • Communication of goals and desired end result function
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for Tech and cross functional business teams
    • Define the launch strategy across boutiques
    • Define the training strategy and conduct the boutique trainings
    • Address feedback post launch by partnering with relevant teams
  • Support the evolution of boutique apps such as - Clienteling, Runner, Buy Reserve Book, and Remote Selling
    • Own and maintain the roadmap for evolutions and ensure timely delivery
    • Own the release communication to boutiques
  • Serve as the day-to-day support for boutiques on challenges as it applies to BTQ apps/tools
  • Drive boutique trainings and ongoing adoption/coaching for apps/tools
  • Conduct market visits to lead tool/app feedback sessions with the boutiques
  • Lead the ongoing education/demo sessions for home office partners, retail leadership team and the operations regionals on new solutions and address any concerns/feedback.
  • Participate in projects lead by other home office teams and own the Ops workstream (where applicable)
  • Build strong relationship with boutique teams via regular planned visits as well as ongoing communications


Innovation:

  • Attend Retail/Retail Technology conferences to identify relevant vendors. Competitive landscape research - what is happening in the market and what are the cutting-edge technologies we should be considering moving forward as an organization
  • Coordinate vendor presentations and partner with the appropriate teams as needed.
    • Ensure vendor partners are aware of the "whys" of the requested business functions. Regular status meetings and education sessions as needed for complete understanding of desired business environment.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing within the Retail Operations team
  • Organize quarterly Retail Operations field visits. Use this to also identify competitive activity and new trends.
  • Continuously identify new trends and competitive activity in support of Test & Learns
  • Support the execution of Test & Learns and its rollout (where applicable)

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years in Retail with experience in Product Management and Strategy
  • Strong understanding of retail landscape
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Superior communicator - both written and verbally
  • Relationship focused and strong ability to build collaborative partnerships

  • Preferred experience building engaging training guides and videos
  • Have an appetite for technical discussions

  • Up to 30% travel to boutiques locations
