Join us and help people live healthier lives while doing your life's best work.(sm)The Clinical Quality Consultant for the UnitedHealthcare Individual & Family Plans (IFP) clinical team plays a critical role in overseeing health plan accreditation and population health programs for members in 18 states. This position is responsible for actively supporting NCQA health plan accreditation and related quality improvement activities as well as the development, operations, implementation, and management of population health programs to help IFP members live healthier lives. This position works with a number of internal and external partners to support IFP accreditation and population health programs. This individual will maintain solid relationships with our internal partners to drive improved health outcomes and must possess a growth mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. This individual will report to the Vice President of Clinical Quality & Health Equity for the Individual and Family Plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support ongoing monitoring and compliance with NCQA Health Plan Accreditation standards, assist in preparing any related documentation, and ensure IFP population health programs align with requirements
  • Lead implementation of quality improvement projects and initiatives in support of NCQA Health Plan Accreditation requirements across 18 IFP states
  • Facilitate and maintain vendor relationships related to population health programs / initiatives, such as health risk assessments and social determinants of health
  • Troubleshoot population health program operations and implementation issues and present to management as required
  • Support complex projects that require cross functional coordination. Works closely with all stakeholders to accomplish mutual goals and strategies in order to drive projects to successful completion, on schedule and within budget
  • Strategically and efficiently utilize enterprise resources, leveraging existing Government Programs or enterprise population health programs when possible

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven business analysis skills, including experience working with and interpreting large data files and utilizing data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • Advanced or higher level of proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large, complex health care projects to achieve key business objectives and developing and managing business plans to achieve objectives
  • Proven ability to solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on a health care business
  • Appreciation for the individuals served by state and public healthcare programs
  • Adaptable and flexible style of collaborating with key stakeholders in setting direction
  • Ability to self-manage and to motivate others to achieve agreed-upon results, with a focus on driving disciplined, fact-based decisions and executing with discipline and urgency

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Success working with ambiguity and under tight deadlines
