Mechanical Engineer with Security Clearance

KBR is seeking an Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineer for the Air Force & Advanced Systems Operating Unit's Aircraft Sustainment efforts. This is a full time position supporting the F-16 System Program Office, located at Hill AFB, UT. Job Duties: Develop, test, and implement mechanical system improvements as identified by MECSIP, field user reports, and lead MAJCOM requirements. Improvement projects will include configuration and design changes to environmental controls, crew egress, hydraulics, fuels, engine start, and flight controls systems. Development and documentation of airworthiness requirements along with supporting artifacts will be accomplished via the F-16 Viper Change Management system. Any configuration changes will also be documented in the F-16 Multinational Program Release System. Perform OSS&E tasks to address mechanical system safety, suitability, and effectiveness warfighter requirements. Tasks include but not limited to engineering evaluation, analysis, and recommended disposition of AFMC 107T/202 and DLA 339 technical assistance requests for F-16 mechanical systems in addition to identified projects as workload permits. Conduct all necessary technical reviews including Preliminary/Critical Design Reviews and Functional/Physical Configuration Audits as required to support design efforts Regularly update information for affected stakeholders (program managers, Defense Logistics Agency, Air Combat Command, field units) to ensure supply requirements and lead times are properly incorporated into fielding recommendations. Provide periodic reports to upper management of project status and direction. Requirements Personnel shall have access to and knowledge of Microsoft Office software Personnel shall be able to perform engineering and configuration analysis on identified projects. Ability to interpret failure data from multiple DOD maintenance databases Proficient in the use of Air Force technical manuals, supply systems, and maintenance policies and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills A knowledge of technical report writing/editing; creating meeting minutes; briefing material preparation; create and assist in the development of technical documents. Ability to problem solve, establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant technical discipline. A minimum of five(5) years of experience in related fields
