This individual will merge their scientific expertise in cancer biology with program management experience to progress research programs to data-driven inflection points from Project Start through Candidate Selection.In partnership with the Project Team Lead (PTL), manage one or more research programs in the Oncology Drug Discovery Unit (ODDU) and/or Oncology Cell Therapy & Therapeutic Area Unit (OTAU) as the program manager. Core responsibilities include:Program and Project ManagementTranslate the research strategy and objectives into an efficiently executable plan; build and manage an integrated program timeline; awareness and anticipation of interdependencies and resource needs; establish and track program goals and stage gates.In collaboration with the PTL, lead the cross-functional research program team. Facilitate and manage productive team meetings, ensure progress toward program goals, hold team members accountable for action items, maintain a sense of urgency and focus, and drive data-driven decision making.Lead the identification and manage the delivery of critical path activities. Proactively identify risks and develop contingency/mitigation plans. Monitor issues through to resolution and ensure that all key stakeholders are informed of outcomes and program implications.Play a key role in fostering team effectiveness through team health checks and continuous improvement.Communication and ReportingManages scheduled and ad hoc program status reporting, including progress against program goals and R&D KPIs. Responsible for leading preparation efforts for governance body interactions.
