Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities

NuVasives Business Transformation Office (BTO) is looking to hire an experienced Program Manager to execute key projects and programs within various cross-functional business functions such as supply chain, information technology, business process improvements and strategy. This will be a hands-on role with the opportunity to both execute exciting projects and be a part of broader strategy as a true business partner. You will help the BTO build industry-standard best practices for project and program management within the organization while collaborating with the program management team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the commitment to roll-up your sleeves and execute projects, help build and strengthen business processes, while also helping build best practices of the organization as a true business partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead large cross-functional commercial, product, process improvement, supply chain and/or IT system projects

  • Develop, plan and manage implementation of activities for highly complex projects

  • Analyze the business objectives of various stakeholders in the company, outline and develop a solutions plan, and work with management and development resources to prioritize accordingly

  • Facilitate process mapping and requirements gathering across separate business and technical teams

  • Set program objectives and establish clear measures to successfully define and meet project deliverables and timelines. Utilize the change control process to track schedule changes. Administering, organizing, and supporting the organizations key projects, programs and overall portfolio

  • Mentor and coach other project managers, ensuring the quality of projects and driving towards the organizations strategic goals

  • Perform schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, such as maintaining program and/or project documentation and managing the project budget

  • Working closely with other project managers, team members and leadership to lead project management activities including comprehensive action plans, resources management, and timelines

  • Aggregate, organize, and communicate program and project information with internal customers, stakeholders, and extended teams. Use of PowerPoint presentations

  • Participate in business reviews and building the project roadmap

  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants

  • Discuss and document business processes

  • Act as a liaison across geographies and with technical and non-technical audiences to communicate and ensure alignment to goals objectives. Surface key issues and changes that may impact expected business results

Required Skills / Capabilities

  • Experience leading multiple and/or complex projects

  • Proactive self-starter, ability to work independently

  • Ability to translate complexity into simplicity, and articulate succinctly

  • Proven track record of ability to influence teams, creative problem solving, continuous improvement and self-prioritization

  • Proven ability to monitor project schedules and communicate regularly with cross-functional owners to proactively maintain timelines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Office Suite, primarily Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint

  • An ability to create and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans

  • Ability to lead and influence across multiple levels of the organization and with internal and external team members

  • Excellent change management skills; comfortable with ambiguity and willingness to learn

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

  • Project Management Institute - Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g. agile/scrum/waterfall/ LSS)

  • Proficient with process mapping, analysis, flow charting and requirements document creation

  • Experience in leading medical device, IT and/or supply chain projects

  • Experience working with commercial (sales) and product management teams

  • Salesforce (software) experience

Travel and/or Physical Requirements

Up to 25% travel ** This Position can be Remote
