What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Agile Program Lead, directs and oversees activities on planning, delivery and implementation to ensure enterprise-wide program strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget. Leads team & liaises with RBC business and service partners, including external third party vendors.

What will you do?
  • Overseeing project processes and procedures; monitoring the productivity and performance of project team.
    • Translates the program vision into program high level scope, design and executables, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide Business and IT Architecture.
    • Seeks input and prepares program roadmap, project, and/or implementation plans aligned with executive approval, driving business value through creation of business case and associated benefit metrics
    • Managing internal and external dependencies of stories across teams. Coordinate story dependencies from inception to production to ensure that all teams focus schedule and planning are coordinated on each individual story.
    • Attend high level planning meetings and discussions as stories are created.

      • Coordinate the inception meeting for story creation
      • Decompensation meeting
  • Track each story starting at inception
    • Create and maintain a tracking process for every story that shows the current status of every WMO Story and a Gantt chart of anticipated dates for the story to flow through all the teams.
  • Communicate and coordinate the acceptance of those dates for each story with the involved teams
    • Maintain an accessible tracker for all stories
    • Attend Scrum of Scrum meetings to track timelines and adherence to commitments
    • Attend all teams planning meetings to track timelines and adherence to commitments

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business and or Computer Science
  • 5 + years Project Management Experience
  • Expert knowledge of program and project plan development & management, scheduling methodology, waterfall and iterative methodologies, Agile teams and SCRUM Certified program and project metrics, analysis, and status reporting.
  • Advanced communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the industries that comprise the financial sector (banking, investment, insurance, trust)
