Location: Remote
Job Description: he Cloud Architect role is one of many on a team of certified technical experts. Working closely with the Cloud Services Practice Director, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions based on the customer's vision and strategy, along with providing direction to the team as they build the solution. This is a customer facing position requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to understand a solution from top-to-bottom.Responsibilities

- Leading technical teams through design and implementation of systems infrastructure projects and overseeing the build of Cloud environments based on customer requirements
- Validation to ensure that the environment meets all security and compliance controls
- Leveraging written and verbal communication skills to work directly with customers and translate business needs into technical requirements for implementation
- Cloud VPC implementation in a multi-zone model, containerization using Kubernetes Engine or similar.
- Analyze, Assess, and Plan the architecture, components, integration, and configuration of a net-new solution.
- Document, Review, Revise, and Finalize Technical Design Documentation, Implementation Plans & Checklists, and Test & Validation Plans.
- Research the appropriate technology selections & choices for a customer given a set of requirements.
- Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
- Engage with clients, pre- and post-sale, to identify, describe, and formalize Statements of Work.
- Instruct client development and devops teams on how to extend, support, and monitor cloud-based solutions.
- Technical liaison between client based engineering and delivery teams to ensure solution requirements and implementation plans are accurately described, understood, and adopted.
- Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.

- Experience with Couchbase or other document store and no-sql databases (Cassandra, Mongo DB, etc)
- 5 years of direct experience working with a variety of enterprise and cloud technology systems, designing solutions, or developing business applications
- 2-5 years of Cloud Architecture Experience is required: Specifically in networking, software development, middle-ware services, microservices, distributing processing, data center replication, and logging/monitoring
- Working knowledge of Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet or Ansible) and Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins preferred)
- Hands on Terraform experience.
- System/network administrator level knowledge of Linux/Unix or Windows systems
- Production experience to build scalable systems (load balancers, memcached, controller/agent architectures)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Other Open Source tools used in the infrastructure space (Packer, Terraform, Vagrant, etc.)
- Experience migrating infrastructure and applications using Cloud Services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
- Leadership of a delivery team through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Experience in large scale Cloud Migration projects.
- Experience with overall design and implementation of large Cloud Migrations.
- Demonstrated success in driving technology modernization and innovation.
