Tool Designer

Job Summary/Company Information:

• A company in the Columbus, IN area is looking for an experienced Tool Designer for their Machining and Fabrication department
• The Tool Designer will be responsible for creating tooling blueprints and designing tooling/ fixtures that meet customer expectations
• The Tool Designer will also be responsible for developing manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with customer quality

Pay/Benefits:

• $22-30+/hour based on experience

Schedule:

• Regular schedule is 7am-3:30pm including some partial days on Saturdays with overtime

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or fabrication environment
• 5+ years of experience designing tooling and fixtures preferred
• Must have knowledge of GD&T
• Previous experience with Solid Works CAD
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
