Contract Role: Temp-to-hire

Schedule: M-F, 40 HPW

Job Description:

Responsible to clinically assess, examine, evaluate, and formulate a therapeutic treatment plan for the patient based on clinical findings

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners may do the same things a psychiatrist does, including diagnosing mental illness and prescribing medication.
Comply with all HIPAA regulations and maintain security of protected health information (PHI)
May also act as a therapist, helping patients with depression, anxiety and suicidal individuals, and other conditions that can be remedied with counseling.
Participate in peer review
Assess, examine, diagnose and treat patients with mental illness by conducting a comprehensive individual assessment.
Develops a plan of care and may prescribe medication

Qualifications:

Must have active Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant state license
Must have active Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Board Certification
2+ years' experience as psychiatric NP/PA and or proven competence in the role
Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) (formerly NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
Valid RN License!
