Legal Assistant
Job Description
Full time, experienced legal admin with a high level of responsibility to perform a full range of legal secretarial and related duties in support of our attorneys and the ongoing operations of the office. The ideal candidate will exercise judgment in making decisions where alternatives are determined by policies, procedures, and practices.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- No-Fault Benefit Requests to Insurance Companies
- Processing client paperwork
- Ordering Medical Records and Balance Statements
- Assisting attorneys and paralegals with all requests
- Incoming and Outgoing phone calls with existing clients and prospects (gathering information and giving case status updates)
- Communication with medical providers
- File maintenance
- Communication with office vendors (IT, office supplies, etc.)
2+ years of administrative experience preferred for this position. Ideal candidate must be highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. General knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Legal experience preferred, but not required to apply.
