Health and Safety Counselor Salary: Up to $41/hr Location: West Milton, NY Industry: Dept. of Defense Clearance: Active Secret Qualifications: * Qualifications shall include a minimum of 3 years safety experience and one of the following: * 1. A professional certification in the ESH discipline, such as: o Certified Safety Professional (CSP) o Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) * Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) o National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) o Associate Safety Professional (ASP) * 2. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the ESH discipline. * 3. Alternative qualifications as approved by the site. Duties: * Responsible for all aspects of the Health and Safety performance while working at the site. * Certify the adequacy of the Safety and Health Management program. * Be present at the work site and provide oversight to all work activities that involve significant risk to personnel. As a minimum, this shall include all work activities which have been designated as a High Risk Work (HRW) evolution. * Be responsible for and document the initial and refresher safety training activities. o Ensure all personnel have been briefed on the specific work controls. * Document all training for subcontractor and sub-tier personnel. * Make training documentation available upon request. * Preparation of safety related work control documents.
