Produce Puller - Nights

Summary:

Primary role is to pull customer orders in a timely manner and station orders on to the appropriate loading dock.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Operate within standard operating procedures and Job Safety rules
2. Pull customer orders ( box, label and shrink wrap each order)
3. Check product quality making sure items are fresh and top quality
4. Memorization of delivery routes and sequence in which orders will be delivered
5. Complete pre-operation log daily
6. Replenish cleanser and sanitizer containers daily
7. Clean and maintain work area and reefers which includes but not limited to: Cleaning and sanitizing tables, sweeping floors, turn off scales, picking up produce/rubbish on ground and in the coolers
8. Clean and put equipment away at the end of the shift
9. Throw all dirty rags in the container at the entrance of the warehouse
10. Other duties as assigned such as running of produce, rotation of produce, cleaning of warehouse and any other similar duties as needed

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

1. Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills required
2. Produce knowledge helpful but not required
3. Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
4. Forklift certification is a plus but not required
5. Must be able to work in cool / refrigerated area with temperatures ranging from 30 to 50 degrees
6. Ability to read pounds and tenth of pounds on a scale
7. Must be able to be on feet entire shift
8. Must be able to work overtime as needed
9. Prior experience with Bar Code Scanners is preferred but not required

Working Conditions:

1. Work involves frequent lifting (up to 5-lbs) of product
2. Temperatures in ware house range from 30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
3. Must wear hairnet and gloves when in warehouse and pulling orders
4. Must be able to learn produce information quickly
5. No jewelry or personal cell phones are allowed while working in the warehouse
6. No food or drinks allowed in warehouse
