Utility Operator - Janitorial

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Utility Operator- Janitorial! This role will be based out of our Pineville, NC plant and reports to the Production Managers.
Job Summary
To support and maintain overall cleanliness of all facility offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, training, rooms, lobbies, hallways, and other areas as necessary. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve plant goals.
Requirements
POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES FOR UTILITY OPERATOR - JANITORIAL
The duties include but are not limited to following:
- Empty waste receptacles, replace liners, and wash as needed.
- Stock toilet tissue, hand towels, and hand soap.
- Clean and polish glass and mirrors.
- Remove splash marks from walls and sanitize partitions around basins.
- Sanitize partitions around basins, floors, and walls.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and disinfect various floors and carpets.
- Clean microwaves inside and out.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables, counter tops, chairs, and door handles.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, and basins.
- Clean refrigerators inside and out.
- Dust horizontal surfaces of desks, tables, and furniture as needed.
- Remove fingerprints and marks from light switches and doorframes.
- Remove cobwebs from front entry area.
- Clean front glass entry and windows around office inside and out.
- Spot clean walls and painted surfaces.
- Check lights for bugs and clean.
- Dust blinds.
- Dust louvers and ceiling vents.
- Wipe down front of ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwasher, and sinks.
- Change toilet seats, paper dispensers, and soap dispensers when needed.
- Change batteries to all paper and soap dispensers.
- Take out trash throughout office areas, production areas, tilt dumpsters in Maintenance, etc. and dispose into proper waste bins.
- Change light bulbs as requested.
- Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities (i.e., fire extinguisher, eyewash, emergency lights).
- Make minor adjustments/repairs.
- Assist with managing hazardous waste and preparing for proper disposal.
- Ability to work with limited Supervision.
- Notify Supervisor of any non-conformance or unsafe conditions and assist in the corrective actions as required.
Qualifications & Experience
A high school degree or equivalent is required with the ability to read, write, and do basic math. Must have the ability to use basic cleaning tools and equipment.
Working Conditions
The incumbent works primarily in an office environment requiring light to moderate physical labor. The incumbent must be able to adapt and perform required duties in a fast paced and constantly changing work environment due to work priorities, deadlines, quality performance, and health and safety obligations.
