GL Accountant - Great flexibility!

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is seeking a full-time GL Accountant to join their accounting team in Vancouver
• This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization with great benefits - currently full remote and will start 1 day onsite per week in the Fall

Overview of the GL Accountant role:

• Process day-to-day general accounting
• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries related to specific accounts
• Complete month-end close process
• Ensure financial statements are properly recorded and presented monthly
• Maintain accurate journal entries into the ledger system
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
• Research, resolve and balance to ensure reconciliation of accounts
• Review source documents and records for accuracy
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules to ensure accuracy of transaction recording
• Serve as a resource to site staff on topics related to accounting
• Perform other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 1+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger experience
• Experience with Yardi is a plus
• Real estate or property management industry experience is a plus but not required
