Vice President of Impact

We're looking for a self-motivated Vice President of Impact to help us expand tech greatness across all LaunchCode locations.

The Vice President of Impact provides leadership in the development and execution of all candidate-facing educational and job-readiness programs. This role is responsible for maximizing program impact for learners, job seekers, and communities in all of the markets that the organization serves. VP of Impact drives the quality of all organizational programs with a focus on course operations, instruction delivery and learner experience.

Essential Functions

LEADERSHIP

  • Work with the leadership team to set strategic priorities for candidate-facing initiatives and program operations goals.
  • Design and create pathways to execute the above initiatives and reach high level goals.
  • Serve as an influential Senior Leader within the organization supporting the achievement of key operating objectives
  • Drive cross-departmental alignment among various teams to support program delivery and development
  • Present and publish as a key external spokesperson for the organization at education and community events

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee operations and manage budgets for all candidate facing program teams
  • Develop and iterate annual programmatic roadmap to ensure pathways to program goals
  • Align team capacity to annual program roadmap
  • Mentor and coach team member to achieve career growth during their tenure at LaunchCode

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY

  • Lead the development of education strategy for the organization, refining and standardizing the program operations and processes
  • Direct the implementation of pilot programs and assessment
  • Standardize process for feedback collection and integration to reach continual improvement of learner experience
  • Collaborate with the Education team on new curriculum development and delivery

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

  • Develop guidelines for community engagement as it relates to student/candidate recruitment and student/candidate wrap around support.
  • Initiate conversations with community organization leaders to identify opportunities for collaboration and drive long-term partnerships

Qualifications

  • Exceptional people-oriented skills
  • Experience managing and coaching a team
  • Experience managing and developing learning / education / training / academic programs
  • Strong project management skills, including familiarity with a project management app such as Trello
  • Ability to use data to drive decisions
  • Ability to design strategies to executive visions
  • Experience with improving and standardizing operational processes

Position Type

Full time - 40 hours per week

  • Competitive salary: This will be a salaried position in the range of $80 - 100K.

  • Paid family leave: Employees who have been with LaunchCode for at least 6 months are eligible for a family leave plan of up to 3 weeks paid and 3 weeks unpaid. Employees who have been with LaunchCode for at least 1 year are eligible for a family leave plan of up to 6 weeks paid and 6 weeks unpaid. Family leave is offered to all eligible employees, regardless of gender.
