QMS Quality Manager
Tarana is seeking a QMS Quality Manager to lead the establishment of quality systems and related business processes as the company transitions from pilot to full-scale production. The ultimate goal of this effort is to achieve external certification of its quality systems to ISO 9000 standards within the next 12 months. The QMS Quality Manager will be responsible for assessing the company requirements in all facets of quality management, from product design control through production to customer order acceptance, customer service, corrective action and internal audit.
Close collaboration with Tarana’s product development function, reliability team, test/data team, operations team, and business development team will be required. This role requires deep knowledge of quality systems and system implementation to train company employees and guide the creation and implementation of effective systems appropriate to Tarana’s growing business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with executive management, and cross-functional process owners to develop a corporate quality plan
- Oversee and direct the overall quality direction of the corporation and the effectiveness of the quality management system, including future implementation of the ISO 9001 program
- Drive Quality management of the company’s products, including developing and managing measurement systems that incorporate Customer’s View of Quality, in-process manufacturing quality and machine capability
- Perform evaluations of the cost and responsibility of discrepant material based on established methods and procedures for supplier quality
- Perform supplier quality assurance audits for assigned suppliers
- Develop corrective actions to support supplier problems and failures, suggesting modifications and corrective actions by suppliers to meet customer specifications and standards
- Maintain a quality assessment system to monitor corporate objectives
- Provide training and leadership at all levels of the company to build understanding and create a quality culture within Tarana
- Work with suppliers on the Continuous Improvement Process of the Supply Base through applying quality tools and techniques
- Assist in troubleshooting component, part, and assembly quality issues with supplier partner
- Ensure that products and services meet customer needs and expectations to fulfill corporate quality objectives
- Coordinates and approves first article sample submissions of new product and engineering changes
- Create and sustain a culture that is based on continuous improvement
- Develops and maintains a supplier quality index, utilizing statistical control programs to assure that only high-quality vendors are retained
- Develops and implements a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards
- Identify areas where product or service quality requires corrective action
- Lead auditor for all audits by regulatory agencies
- 10+ years experience in quality systems for device hardware manufacturing
- BA in science or engineering
- Significant prior team leadership experience in broad quality system creation and implementation programs in products based on functional materials, chemicals, and electronics assembly
- Significant and direct roles in more than one major ISO 9000 certification program.
- Experience in quality direction, effectiveness of the quality management system and future implementation of the ISO 9001 program
- Knowledge and hands-on experience implementing quality systems in contract manufacturing environments
- Prior experience working with manufacturing partners, including process transfer between plants
- Prior wireless and Rf experience preferred
- Ability to build and encourage a culture of teamwork
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
