Description OST is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer/Scientist to join a small and highly talented team of image scientists and geospatial intelligence experts supporting the customer mission in the area of multi- and hyperspectral imaging. The person will be responsible for providing chemistry and chemical engineering expertise to help develop analytical processes and tools for exploiting advanced spectral data collections. The engineer will support the Intelligence Community as a subject matter expert specializing in chemical attribution assessment to determine key observables and assist in the identification of compounds of interest. Roles and Responsibilities * Researches chemical processes and their precursors to determine key observables and assists in the identification, detection, and targeting of chemical weapon production facilities for collection planning and attribution. * Performs studies to recommend how to optimize different Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensor capabilities to maximize information content while minimizing cost, complexity and data volume. * Discovers, designs and implements new ways to address emerging problems to improve data collection capabilities, product formation, data exploitation, product quality, and algorithm development. * Authors technical documents and presentations. Position Requirements * TS/SCI clearance is preferred. Candidates with lower level clearances will get a clearance upgrade.
