Weld Setup/Operator

Attwood Corporation, a Brunswick Company, is the worlds leading manufacturer of marine accessories for the boating industry, including a wide range of seating, hardware, fuel systems, navigational lighting, pumps, and other electro-mechanical components.

We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated Weld Setup Operator who can set up and operate manual load weld machine setup and adjustments for quality.

Responsibilities for this position will include:

• Checking stock required for the job

• Setting up machines: (Saws, sanders, drill presses, grinders, ext.) Ensure appropriate jigs and fixtures are being used.

• Setting up weld machines: Ensure appropriate fixtures and weld quality adjustments

• Maintain working order of machines

• Assisting maintenance in repairs.

• Run machines, ensure a safe and professional environment is maintained

• Remove finished parts from machine and check accuracy and quality

• Running production on all equipment when not setting up.

• Some hand welding. Experience with welding aluminum and stainless preferred.

• Assisting in the training of full time and temporary employees on safe operation using work instructions.

• Additional work as assigned by coordinator.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Completion of GRCC's Welding Certificate or equivalent training & experience preferred.

• Prior weld set-up/operation experience required.

• Flexibility to work off shifts required

• Some team lead experience preferred
