The Boeing Company is seeking innovative mid-level engineers (level 3) to contribute to the design and development efforts for key computing assets embedded in the most advanced Boeing defense platforms. This job is an opportunity to be part of the Boeing Anti-Tamper Engineering Capability Center, which is tasked with the protection of all critical computers across all defense products developed within Boeing. So, unlike most aerospace jobs where a team is focused on building a single product for a specific customer, this job offers the opportunity to see and contribute to products across Boeing's entire elite defense portfolio.
This position is based in St. Louis, MO and includes working directly with customers to define system requirements and architectures, the development and oversight of these new designs, and all aspects of the system life cycle through final testing, verification, and fielding. As all new platforms, systems, and subsystems now have an Anti-tamper requirement, we are growing our team to ensure that new and unique protection solutions can be fielded across all of our Boeing and supplier-generated products. Expected solutions will span both hardware and software.

Security Clearance:
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Position Responsibilities:
- Support development programs, research efforts, and strategic initiatives in the areas of Anti-Tamper
- Lead the development of new hardware computing architectures with Anti-Tamper requirements in mind
- Develop requirements, test plans, test procedures in support of Anti-tamper development efforts
- Create and conduct customer presentations to explain Anti-Tamper designs, and other Product Security objectives
Security Clearance:
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical field
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- 1+ years of Experience in design and/or integration of systems or subsystems in the Defense industry - understanding tactical systems capabilities and operations is crucial to being able to protect them

- Top Secret security clearance preferred
- Experience in anti-tamper or product security domain
- Experience with cryptography and other security protocols
