Forklift Maintenance Mechanic
We are seeking a "best in class" Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair company mobile equipment consisting of, but not limited to forklift, wheel loaders, skid steers and sweepers. Work environment is primarily outdoors with exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Use a variety of hand and power tools and handling equipment in performing duties Repair forklifts, oil changes on all equipment, routine maintenance on equipment Skills and Experience Required for Success 2+ years of maintenance experience Knowledge of equipment repair, hydraulics, wheel changing, welding, chassis repairs, wheel seal replacement and brake servicing experience Must be able to quickly identify materials - high attention to detail Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly Must be able to use both hands simultaneously exerting HEAVY push/pull force frequently Must be able to stand/walk constantly throughout 8 hour shift Must be able to squat, bend/twist at the waist knees and neck frequently Forklift operations a plus Ability to wear PPE (personal protection equipment) – required and provided Competencies Required for Success High standard of ethical conduct Strong Work Ethic Problem Solving Analytical Team work Demonstrated prioritization / time management skills Education High school diploma or equivalent; OR one to three months related experience AND/OR training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
