Engagement Program Manager
AutoNation Headquarters Description of Position: The Engagement Program Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing Associate Engagement execution across the entire organization, also encompassing Recognition and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) efforts. They will collaborate with the Senior OD Manager to manage other OD initiatives related to culture, onboarding, exit, engagement surveys, and much more. A Successful candidate for this position: Knows how to measure, assess impact and provide high-level reporting for senior leaders to assess success of projects & initiatives Can quickly assess gaps and inefficiencies and create work arounds or plans for continual improvement Can work swiftly and effectively in a fast paced environment; works well under tight timelines and deadlines Has the change agility needed to quickly adapt to shifting demands and new direction as needed Can manage a project from beginning to end with minimal support, with complex timelines and tasks Takes initiative to carry a task from beginning to completion with minimal supervision Is focused, detail oriented, and conscientious Has solid time management skills Enjoys working with people of all levels in the organization via one on one, group settings, email, phone, etc. Has the self-discipline to work independently and the interpersonal skills needed to work well with an inter-dependent team Has strong follow-up skills Organizational Relationships: Reports directly to the Senior Manager, Organizational Development. Partners closely with the following to assess organizational needs and support the team and the organizational development programs that meet the strategic needs of the Company: Talent Development team members Corporate Leadership and Associates Field HR team Operational Corporate/Region Leadership Primary Job Responsibilities: Employee Engagement& Culture Lead planning & executive of initiatives to foster an inclusive and positive culture through meaningful Associate engagement programs across the entire Associate lifecycle starting from onboarding through events, internal communication, employee recognition, etc Own and execute process for Associate Engagement surveys, pulse checks, and other ongoing and ad hoc surveys to allow for all voices to be heard Manage Associate Engagement survey results debriefs, action planning, and tracking process monthly with business leaders Research, recommend, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing Associate Engagement programs, pulse, exit interview survey data and focus group feedback, and proactively propose and implement solutions Research and leverage internal and external technology & tools for employee engagement data collection Serve as a trusted resource in employee engagement on teams and committees tasked with planning and implementing improvements Collect, analyze, and provide insight on data to collaborate with Leadership regarding issues that significantly impact engagement or retention throughout all levels of the organization Prepare, deliver, and report on surveys related to employee engagement regularly Serve as key liaison to Corporate Communications team to ensure internal communications are designed and delivered in alignment with our values and culture Recognition Develop, lead and monitor recognition program execution plans, strategies, and timelines Ensure the right information about the state of a project is delivered to the right audience at the right time Identify roadblocks, drive the resolution of problems, and either manage their resolution or ensure a clear hand-off to the right owner Influence program priorities and strategy through data-driven contributions Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility Communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Improve the organizational health from a DEIB perspective and improve our ability to attract talent through authentic experiences and storytelling. Provide consultative guidance and liaise across core teams and employee resource groups. Define project scope and objectives and develop milestone schedules, project meetings and updates. Oversee planning and scoping activities to achieve important goals within the expected timelines. Translate data into actionable insights. Partner with central DEIB counterparts to design mechanisms that inspect employee data, uncover opportunities that support DEIB goals, and build action plans. Identify process improvement opportunities through close partnership and alignment with partners and business stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years experience in Engagement, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related industry Experience leading and managing complex, multi-faceted programs from strategy to execution Can manage and analyze trends, identify pain points, and solve for gaps and opportunities Experience with effective employee engagement programming, preferably in a high-growth and/or highly decentralized environment Knowledge of skills and competency development Demonstrated knowledge of learning and development best practices and methods Strong background in program and project management Proven ability to deliver effectively with ambiguity, manage multiple projects through completion on time and on budget, and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment Preferred Qualifications: Degree in organizational psychology, organizational development, education, human resources, or related fields preferred but not required Strong Microsoft Office experience, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel Company Overview AutoNation, a provider of personalized transportation services, is driven by innovation and transformation.
