POSITION SUMMARY

Manages and leads revenue strategy and analytics to drive revenue growth. Provides consultative services to the department for the purposes of strategic planning, financial planning, and growth initiatives. Makes recommendations to management regarding revenue and price enhancements, ROI calculations, trend analysis, business analytics initiatives, strategic goals, and alignment with sales forecasts and compensation strategies. Ensures department financial obligations and deliverables are managed accurately and timely.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  1. Leads all finance responsibilities operating under the Chief Growth Officer areas of responsibility (Sales, Marketing, Patient Services, Population Health) by providing financial support and direction. Ensures different objectives align with overall company goals and prepares and presents scheduled summaries highlighting department performance by product line, service line, and strategic groups.

  2. Provides a high level of financial and business acumen by making recommendations to all levels of Management and Senior Leadership to drive revenue growth. Effectively communicates financial information, presents conclusions and recommendations in oral and written form. Assesses the financial health of strategic partnerships and innovation initiatives and translates the findings to key stakeholders in order to formalize plans for future involvement.

  3. Directly oversee a team of analysts responsible for contracting, business analytics, customer relationship system (salesforce) for the growth organization. Drives reporting and analysis around tracking metrics and KPIs for initiatives. Selects, trains, coaches, motivates, conducts performance evaluations, and directs the efforts of direct reports. Develops goals and performance expectations for all staff. Provides for the education, development and empowerment of staff.

  4. Prepares proactive financial analysis by identifying appropriate sources of data and meaningful financial indications. Provides price modeling/underwriting for clients and payers relating to cost consistency and transparency. Reviews and completes financial sections of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and creates forecasts to understand the assumptions and potential business impact. Translates the financial strategy and scope to leadership for final approval.

  5. Leads all aspects of department budgeting including developing the expense budget and commercial plans for the upcoming year. Utilizes prior year and current trends, combined with department objectives to formulate expense forecasts and prepares submission collaboratively. Monitors current year expenses and presents key findings and drivers to leadership.

  6. Receives financial objectives for the year and works with Sales leadership to prepare the commercial budget and variable sales compensation targets and plans. Ensures all data is accurately prepared and meets budget requirements. Summarizes prepared budget and objectives to Senior Leadership for approval and prepares final documents for implementation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to think analytically, conceptually, and strategically.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate within a cross functional environment.

  • Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate complex issues using strong verbal and written aptitude.

  • Extensive knowledge of finance, pricing, insurance, computer systems, and analytical software.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.

  • A high degree of technical and decision making skills is required

  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Change agent capable of guiding the department through the implementation of improvements and initiatives with a continuous focus on the organizations future strategic objectives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field.

  • Five (5) years experience in a highly analytical financial/accounting and/or analytics environment.

  • 2 years leadership experience.

  • Advanced computer skills including basic technical understanding of database relationships.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration.

  • Sales/Sales management experience.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Additional related education and/or experience.
