Housekeeping Manager - Substance Use Disorder Hospital

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the day-to-day performance and operation of housekeeping duties for the facility.
• Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or laws.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides or cleaning equipment.
• Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and linens for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Adhere to infection control measures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three or more years’ housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment
• Knowledge of sanitation techniques and equipment operation with training in universal precautions and infection control
• CPR and patient de-escalation certification (training provided at facility)
• Minimum of 1 year experience supervising housekeeping staff in a hospital environment
• Valid Driver License with acceptable driving record

PREFERRED:

Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
