Benefits Supervisor
Higher education institution in New York City is seeking a Benefits Supervisor. This position is responsible for the administration of the school's benefit plans and regulations, including medical, dental, 401k, Life, STD, LTD, AD&D, HSA, FSA, W/C, FMLA, Cobra and HIPAA. The Benefits Supervisor will ensure that the day-to-day administration of faculty and administrative staff benefit programs are properly carried out. The position will supervise the benefits coordinator. The position is hybrid, with 2-3 days on-site work.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4 to 6 years of benefits experience and 2 years of supervisory experience
• Must have knowledge of various benefits, and applicable government regulations such as HIPAA, FMLA, and Cobra.
• Must have a customer service attitude, with an ability to handle a high volume of calls and employee concerns.
• Ability to work independently, and initiate, prioritize and identify solutions with strong attention to detail.
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Ability to handle confidential material
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to work flexible and extended hours at times.
