Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The EEG Technologist performs duties associated with the operation of Neurodiagnostic equipment to include EEG, EMG, Evoke Potential, TCD and other neuro diagnostic equipment.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of clinical, patient care experience in the healthcare field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Current or planned enrollment into an Associates of Arts (AA) or Associates of Science (AS) degree program. AA or AS must be obtained within 2 years from position orientation completion.
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • Persons without an associate degree or RPSGT Certificate will be required to obtain EEG credential as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEGT) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) within 1 year of obtaining their AA or AS.
  • Persons with an associate degree or RPSGT Certificate will be required to obtain EEG credential as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEGT) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) within 18 months of employment.
