JOB SUMMARY: Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, located in Putnam County, New York, has been trusted by families to care for their loved ones. Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to maintaining excellence and integrity in all aspects of its operations. Food preparation as required in accordance with sanitary regulations. Maintenance of kitchen sanitation. Delivery of residents’ meals.

• Prepares salads, desserts, sandwiches, nourishment's and other foods are required.
• Pours juices and beverages as needed.
• Sets up residents’ trays, food trucks and deliveries to residents units to meet meal schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen – dish washing, pot washing, scraping of trays, cleaning of equipment, removal of garbage, sweeping and mopping the floors.
• Reading of menus extensions to assure residents of correct therapeutic diets in meal service.
• Storage of all supplies and rotation.
• Avoid food and supply waste.
• Maintain personal cleanliness – clean uniform and frequent hand washing.
• Report for duty on time wearing proper uniform to consist of black pants, white shirt with collar and proper heavy duty shoes.
• Must be pleasant to residents and other staff members.
• Physical demands includes standing, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting and carrying food and equipment.
• Provide coverage for cook as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to read, speak, write and follow oral and written instructions
