Bartender

Daiquiri Delight Shop in New Orleans, LA is looking for one bartender to join our team. We are located at 300 Bourbon St. in the French Quarter. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Job Description

Adhere to all laws pertaining to the service of alcoholic beverages and the principles of the responsible vendor program. Provide prompt, enthusiastic food and beverage service to guests, ensuring that all orders are properly filled, and correct payment is received and tendered. Prepare / cook pizza and build mixed drinks all according to house recipes, standards and portion controls. Restock bar and kitchen, buss tables, sweep and mop. Provide daiquiri samples, use up-selling and suggestive selling techniques while taking orders. Monitor the environment in the business for correct temperature, lighting, music, televisions, etc. Complete all side work in a timely manor. Maintain a clean safe work area. Team members may be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, and height.

Responsibilities

• Prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and pizza
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Check customer's identification and confirm they are of legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and provide an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Qualifications

• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
• Must have a current Responsible Vendor card, and City of New Orleans Manager’s Permit
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and stoop for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and communicate effectively with co-workers
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events
• Energetic and outgoing
• Good communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task.
