Insulation Estimator

Meek’s Lumber and Hardware, a division of USLBM, originated in Lockwood, Missouri, where Charles C. Meek opened the company’s first lumberyard in 1919. In the early 1930s Charles C. Meek, Jr. relocated the business to its current headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. In the 1950s Charles C. Meek Jr. ventured to Northern California and opened the first Meek's yard on the West Coast which has since grown with the acquisition of many local lumber yards.

We are currently looking for a Insulation Estimator for our Carson City, NV location.

How you will spend your day as an Estimator:

• Analyze and interpret drawings and specifications in a high volume environment
• Collaborate with internal NexGen staff and external Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers
• Perform detailed, accurate and complete loose material project takeoffs
• Produce accurate and well organized estimates from project takeoffs
• Effectively scope vendor/partner/supplier proposals
• Build conceptual, budget and detailed project estimates
• Provide direct estimating support for Sales and Management
• Maintain quality relationships with internal and external partners

Estimator Requirements:

• PREVIOUS COMMERCIAL ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE
• ABILITY TO WORK AND THRIVE UNDER PRESSURE
• STRONG WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• TOP NOTCH TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS
• PROFICIENT IN MICROSOFT OFFICE (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK)
• EXPERIENCE WITH ONSCREEN ESTIMATING SOFTWARE
• EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
• MUST BE WILLING TO EMBRACE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
