We are currently seeking a Medical Disability Exam Review Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as a medical professional to evaluate and provide a clear, comprehensive and concise review of Medical Disability claims.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a point of contact and resource for the VA Clinical Operations Department (VBA - Veterans Benefits Administration) and communicate with internal and external entities
• Provide Practitioner education
• Perform internal Medical Opinion only requests as required by applicable contracts

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a Physician Assistant Program or Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner program
• Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Certified VA Compensation and Pension Examiner. Certification does not need to be current
• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Experience as a VA employee or contractor performing Compensation and Pension Examinations
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed; may be required to identify a supervising physician as dictated by state licensure requirements
• Access to high-speed internet from home (Broadband Cable, Fiber or DSL) and a dedicated workspace from home
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
