Senior Auditor

A financial services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Auditor for a promising Senior-level position with their growing staff. In this role, the Senior Auditor will be responsible for executing and assisting in planning multiple audit engagements the company's Commercial clients.

Responsibilities

The Senior Auditor will:

• Supervise and coach staff on engagements and deliver outstanding service to clients
• Develop relationships with clients to learn and understand their business
• Manage and complete the engagements on a daily basis through detailed planning, budgeting, proactive problem solving, and staff management
• Train and coach the Audit staff; effectively delegate to and challenge staff
• Handle directly more complex aspects of the audit, as needed
• Review and evaluate work prepared by the staff before submission to the Manager, Managing Director and Quality Control
• Assist with other duties, as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Audit (Financial) experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
• Previous experience servicing Commercial industries
• Experience with Financial Statement Preparation
• GAAP / GAAS background
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
