Sr Maintenance Technician



Job Description

Job Summary

Qualified candidates will be able to independently troubleshoot, and direct or complete repairs as needed. Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment as well as assist with the installation of new and used equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general maintenance services with emphasis on printing equipment including press, die cutting and folder/gluers
  • Conduct inspections, and repairs on all production related equipment to include bearings, belts, Conveyer maintenance, fans, and blowers
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects
  • Assist with industrial maintenance covering electronics, automation, PLCs, HVAC, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, machining, carpentry, and plumbing, as needed and qualified
  • Follow SOP’s, and written procedures, to perform all types of proactive and preventative maintenance tasks, repairs and rebuilds on all production related equipment
  • Use provided CMMS to record all maintenance activities and to document machine status and repairs performed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably in the printing industry. Master or Journey Trades preferred, electrical background a plus.
  • Display an ability to successfully troubleshoot production related deficiencies and determine a plan to correct and prevent similar conditions through scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics, service orders, and standard operating procedures
  • Able to work occasional overtime and work any shift; available to perform on call responsibilities, if needed
  • Willing to work second or third shift
