Quality Engineer

Position Summary: Monitors and participates in the improvement of quality systems that pertain to pertinent areas of expertise and job responsibility. Responsible for APQP on programs that are assigned. Must be knowledgeable in all customer program requirements and quality assurance processes related to specific job responsibilities.

Essential Duties:

• Ensure that all potential failures created by internal processes are adequately controlled to ensure customer satisfaction
• Determine sufficient method of inspection for identified failure modes
• Generate quality related procedures, work instructions pertaining to inspection (including gauging needs)
• Facilitate/approve all root cause analysis ensuring that all necessary documentation is updated
• Reviews parts returned from customer and disposition of internal contained product
• Prepares updates, process flow charts, control plans, PFMEA, with support of cross functional team
• Provides support to product auditors for quality related issues
• Works closely with onsite/customer resident staff to measure and monitor customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• BS Degree Manufacturing or Engineering
• Automotive industry experience
