UX Intern

As a UX generalist, the User Experience Intern’s mission is to support and grow their skill set through hands-on experience working on strategies alongside project teams. The UX Intern will help ensure that projects are brought to completion with the same level of attention they began. This person will learn to work collaboratively with internal UX, design, and development teams while being exposed to client interaction with an aim to sharpen their presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the content entry process to ensure the overall strategy follows through when clients/writers start getting into the website
• Run site crawls & conduct content audits to help inform UX and migration planning
• Work with the account manager and dev teams as they implement the migration plan
• UX support for projects in progress and internal marketing. This may include design layouts, user flows, analytics, testing, etc.
• Contribute to UX strategy documentation of content types, taxonomies, field-mapping, and or content requirements where needed
• Helping with the quality assurance testing process across project teams.
• Find ways to improve on existing methods of working with people and processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrated education or certification within UX/content strategy/IA or related fields
• A basic understanding of UX design is necessary
• Detail Oriented: A borderline obsession with quality, details, and execution. Ability to problem-solve for unique scenarios and bring positive energy while doing so.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with complex applications and content-heavy websites
