Software License Assessor-Level 4 with Security Clearance

Description:
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Be More Than You Can Imagine . The individual selected for this position will serve as a Senior Air System Software License Assessment Engineer. The selected candidate will have overarching responsibility for ensuring that all assessed product SW complies with U.S. Title 17 Copyright statutes and DFARS regulations instantiated by program contracts. The License Assessor works with Aero Intellectual Property Attorneys, Software Development Teams, and Subcontract Management (SCM) to ensure the appropriate licensing and data rights have been secured to support the intended use of the deliverable SW in support of development and maintenance contracts. Additional responsibilities of the AS License Assessor include: - diligent execution and administration SW licensing policies and procedures for the development programs in accordance with LM-Aero and Corporate policies
- analyze product build manifests to schedule, plan, and status product license disclosures, assessments, Legal Concurrence, and Restriction Compliance Board approvals; - independently investigate, analyze, and resolve licensing issues, driving for business-based outcomes;
- prevent loss of LM-Aero Intellectual Property through viral licensing, architectural anomalies, or design errors; - attend required compliance reviews in support of Product Release - coordinate activities with other LM-Aero Programs to insure a common level of due diligence to preserve a defensible posture for the Program
- work with LM-Aero License Assessment SMEs and Aero Legal Department to optimize license assessment processes to reduce cost, schedule, and overhead associated with SW licensing. A level 4 employee Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience. **Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**
EngineeringAeronautics This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications:
- Previous Experience with Software License Assessment - Knowledge of the Air System SW Architecture and SW Development Processes and Procedures - Working knowledge of full program lifecycle - Ability to interact effectively with IPT SW Developers as well as Legal and Program Management - Significant experience with software licensing and knowledge of issues with the use of third party and open source software - Ability to independently make and execute SW product level licensing decisions
Desired Skills:
- It is very desirable that candidates have expertise with the Disclosure and Assessment Matrix Tool. Previous experience performing license assessments and working licensing issues with LM-Aero Legal Department and Contracts. Knowledge of SW subcontract management is similarly desired. - Knowledge of the LM-Aero Engineering software development processes and procedures (PM-4001) - Knowledge of Aero Software license compliance policies and procedures (AC-1811, AC-306, AC-2109, and AC-6684) - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to mentor and train junior SW License Assessors
