Job description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively pursue and sell new brokerage services through cold calling and marketing
Negotiate with clients and carriers on a daily basis
Manage clients daily load volume with proactive and timely updates
Must have a strong understanding of the markets, including rates and carrier capacity
Collaborate with the team and follow established protocols regarding all shipments
Track and report shipment status
Respond to customers quickly and professionally
Understand the client’s needs and respond with exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience 1 plus years’ experience selling in a Third-Party Logistics and Transportation environment.
Dedicated operations and third-party brokerage knowledge desired.
Knowledge of transportation practices.
Understands transportation trends, pricing, and government regulations.
Microsoft Office skill set-Word, Excel(advanced), PowerPoint.
Load planning and optimization experience a plus.
